Eminem – so Far
American hip-hop recording artist Eminem’s song “So Far…” is from his eighth studio album, The Marshall Mathers LP 2, which was released in 2013. In the song, Eminem reflects on the drawbacks of celebrity and the propensity for bad things to happen just when you need them to. Rick Rubin, the executive producer of the album, produced the song. The song “So Far” includes samples from “Life’s Been Good” by Joe Walsh as well as “P.S.K. What Does It Mean?” by Schoolly D, “Change the Beat” by Beside, “The Real Slim Shady” and “I’m Back” by himself. Upon the album’s release, the song received largely favorable reviews from music reviewers and debuted at number three on the US Billboard Bubbling Under R&B/Hip-Hop Singles.
