Tajudeen Abbas Elected As Speaker of House of Representatives
He contested against the outgoing Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Ahmed Wase.
Tajudeen Abbas has emerged as the Speaker of the House of Representatives.
He contested against the outgoing Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Ahmed Wase and another member, Aminu Jaji.
Wase is one of the aggrieved speakership aspirants who are aggrieved with the leadership zoning plan of the All Progressives Congress for the next Assembly, which favours Tajudeen Abbas.
Abbas defeated him and Jaji with a wide margin, with almost all the lawmakers in favour of Abass.
