Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible for the Fully Funded International Schwarzman Scholarships at Tsinghua University in China in 2024–2025, candidates must fulfill the requirements listed below:
First degree obtained during undergraduate study at an accredited institution or university, or its equivalent. To be considered, applicants must be on track to complete their undergraduate degree programs by August 1, 2023, the start of orientation. There are no requirements for a specific subject of study; all undergraduate majors are acceptable. Regardless of undergraduate major, it will be essential for candidates to demonstrate how being a Schwarzman Scholar would help them realize their potential as leaders in their industry.
Age: Applicants must be at least 18 but under 29 as of August 1, 2023.
Citizenship: Neither nationality nor citizenship are subject to any requirements.
English linguistic proficiency: Candidates must be proficient in English because all instruction will be conducted in that language. Official English proficiency test results must be submitted with the application if the candidate does not speak English as their first language. IELTS stands for International English Language Testing System, and suitable exam substitutes include the TOEFL PBT and iBT online versions of the English as a Foreign Language Test.
This requirement is waived for candidates whose undergraduate degrees were earned at institutions where English was the primary language of instruction for at least three years.
