Scholarship for Out-of-State Students – 2023/24
College students do not have it easy in the modern world. The sums students will need to pay for services like housing and transit have also climbed dramatically, in addition to the soaring costs of college tuition. To guarantee they can get the right education and follow their career aspirations, many students struggle to pay these expenses. Students who attend college in states or parts of the country far from their families frequently encounter additional difficulties and costs, and they worry that they won’t be ready to handle these issues.
Fawell & Fawell has developed a scholarship programme to help students who move out of state to attend college since they are aware of the problems these students face.
Eligibility Criteria
- Be enrolled in or admitted to a college or university that is situated in a state other than where their parents currently reside, a place where they did not finish high school.
- Own a GPA of 3.0 or above as of their most recent successfully completed academic semester.
- Being older than 17.
- Being a citizen or lawful permanent resident of the United States.
Benefits
They offer a $1,000 scholarship each semester through the Fawell & Fawell Out-of-State Student Scholarship to a deserving student who plans to pursue educational possibilities outside of the state where they graduated from high school or where their parents currently reside. Scholarship recipients may use their funds to cover tuition, housing costs, other educational expenditures, or costs associated with travel.

How to Apply
Students can submit the online form to apply for the scholarship. An candidate must supply identification information proving they are an out-of-state student, along with enrollment verification and GPA documentation. An acceptance letter and a transcript from your school are two examples of the paperwork you can present to demonstrate that the requirements have been satisfied.
Additionally, candidates must submit an essay of at least 200 to 300 words that responds to the question below:
What obstacles and problems have you faced as an out-of-state student? Have you had trouble adjusting to life away from your family and in a strange place? How do you intend to get beyond these obstacles and succeed in your academic endeavours?
